He advanced into the world of foreign exchange and banking at Ajiya Microfinance Bank Ltd, Kaduna, managing vault accounts and handling intricate cash movements. His role evolved into that of an Accounts/Funds Transfer Officer at the same institution, where he demonstrated his prowess in handling financial transactions and preparing essential banking reports.

In 2010, Sambo embarked on a journey that would see him rise through the ranks of the financial sector. As a Business Development Executive at First Sahara Bureau De Change Ltd, Abuja, he oversaw software administration and engaged in critical foreign currency dealings. His leadership skills were further honed at 313 Bureau De Change Ltd, Abuja, where, as the Head of Operations he oversaw customer services and ensured compliance with operational procedures.

As the President and CEO of Imran Bureau de Change and 99 Services Solutions Ltd Abubakar displays exceptional leadership, overseeing all operations and guiding both companies through the complex landscapes of the financial services world.

He is also the author of "Sources and uses of funds in a Community Bank". A white paper that explores the financial dynamics of community banking, highlighting his deep understanding of the financial services industry.

Born and raised in a culturally rich environment, Abubakar Sambo's journey is one marked by a steadfast commitment to academic and professional excellence. Sambo obtained his B.Sc. degree in Business Administration at Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State.
